Headgear

All uniformed military and Political formations had their own unique headgear. Most were for daily wear while many were utilitarian, such as with the military where they were used for combat & training purposes i.e. helmets. Still others were exclusively worn for dress or ceremonial occasions. Headgear varied in material, color & decoration depending on their use (climate) and organization. 1 Rare Heer (GFP) Geheime Feldpolizei Officer's Visor Cap; cap is a size 57 of field green ribbed wool over a brown wool cap band surmounted by medium-blue wool piping; mint aluminum Army eagle & bullion wreath to front over silver wire chincord; interior of gold ribbed silk clear celluloid shield with 'Deutsche Reichspatent' silver logo; wide tan colored leather sweatband having vented-brow and circumference of black velvet. Cap is mint on the outside and excellent on this inside showing slight wear to sweatband w/single split, lining & moisture shield. Army GFP Visors are rare and seldom encountered SOLD
