Headgear

All uniformed military and Political formations had their own unique headgear. Most were for daily wear while many were utilitarian, such as with the military where they were used for combat & training purposes i.e. helmets. Still others were exclusively worn for dress or ceremonial occasions. Headgear varied in material, color & decoration depending on their use (climate) and organization. 1 Superb Herman Goring Division NCO Visor Cap; mid to late war visor unit marked: 3./Fsch.Pz.-Sturm-Btl. under sweatband; Cap is near mint with ribbed blue wool upper and dark ribbed rayon cap band both surmounted by white wool piping; blue rayon lining with no extra holes; unmarked eisenglass present; wide leather sweatband with wicker insert hinge; remarkable original circa 1944-45 unit:(HG Fallschirmjäger/Panzer Battalion); $1595.
