Headgear

All uniformed military and Political formations had their own unique headgear. Most were for daily wear while many were utilitarian, such as with the military where they were used for combat & training purposes i.e. helmets. Still others were exclusively worn for dress or ceremonial occasions. Headgear varied in material, color & decoration depending on their use (climate) and organization. Helmet, M38 SD Luft Fallschirmjäger

1 Model 1938 single decal Luftwaffe Fallschirmjäger helmet; stamped ‘ET66’ on right flange & lot number '2103’ at rear; exterior blue-gray paint is really exceptional and would easily rate 95%; Luft eagle has one ding bringing it in at 95%; original untampered-with 8 Heisler liner stamped for helmet size 66/liner size 55; liner shows very little use with no holes, tears, splits or mouse bites! Aluminum liner, foam pad, bolts & nuts are all untampered with! Choice, paratrooper chinstrap assembly is the best part showing very little use! Overall an excellent+ example of an always hard-to-come-by & desirable helmet-$6500
