Menu Style



All uniformed military and Political formations had their own unique headgear. Most were for daily wear while many were utilitarian, such as with the military where they were used for combat & training purposes i.e. helmets. Still others were exclusively worn for dress or ceremonial occasions. Headgear varied in material, color & decoration depending on their use (climate) and organization. M1 Helmet, M1A, Garrison Cap, Patrol Cap, Jeep Cap, US Army, USMC, US Navy, Marine Corps, AAF, USAAF, CBI, Airborne, SF, Ranger, 1SSF, US Patches, Some standard military cap designs were the Visor Cap, Shako, Kepi, the Side, pickelhaube, Overseas or Side Cap and the Field or M43 style cap. 1 Kriegsmarine Coastal Arty Officers Visor cap by EREL with feldgrau wool top; dunkelgrün cap band and piping throughout, wonderfully toned two piece gold bullion-wire insignia with Army Generals style wreath and soft black leather (crusher-style) visor; gold KM buttons and nicely toned silver officers chincord; typical lime-green silken lining have EREL-SONDERKLASSE Gilt Diamond Logo under its full eisenglas; extra wide beige leather sweatband having silver embossed EREL logo, typical elaborate hinge-stitching/attachment and as usual perforated brow, indicative of EREL; about a size 56; A real one-looker and extremely uncommon-  (This exact cap is featured in the book “German Headgear in World War II” by Moran & Maguire; page 302-303).  SOLD
