All uniformed military and Political formations had their own unique headgear. Most were for daily wear while many were utilitarian, such as with the military where they were used for combat & training purposes i.e. helmets. Still others were exclusively worn for dress or ceremonial occasions. Headgear varied in material, color & decoration depending on their use (climate) and organization. 1 Orange piped visor cap of fine dark navy blue wool and a black velvet cap band; small double grommet vents to each side of cap; small gold Political style eagle over national cockade surmounted by a silver wreath; black leather chinstrap over black vulkanfiber visor ;copper colored oilcloth lining with makers logo and size 58 ½; most of eisenglas is long gone; Fully intact brown leather sweatband with embossed logo. Outside of cap is excellent; interior is very good showing its age; great untouched original-$250.
