Description: This M16 helmet is remarkable to have survived its +108 years in its now appearing, unissued-condition. Having started out life as the first WWI German helmet and +17 years later being given a new life as a Third Reich Wehrmacht helmet. This M16 Heer helmet retains +99% all of its rough-textured feld-grau paint inside & out. The left side of the helmet retains its original Wehrmacht–Army eagle decal that is clearly 100%! The helmets M31-style, wartime leather liner shows NO use and remains tight in its three rivet band; lightly buff-colored with its tie string and size stamped it appear as factory new;.size is an average 56-57; This one would be nearly impossible to upgrade and is one of the finest examples we’ve seen. Just needs a mint chinstrap to complete.
