Description: First period SS Dagger and first year of the RZM, 1934. Owners serial number stamped into reverse of crossguard (#209073) above blade etched maker ‘RZM 120/34 SS’. Nickel/silver plated blade shows decent cross graining, typical light scabbard runners. Well defined dark acid etched motto, “Meine Ehre Heißt Treue”. Nickel/silver crossguard, pommel and tang nut. Ebony grip with nice snug fit to top and bottom fittings. Nickel/silver national eagle and nickel & enameled SS button nicely fitted to grip. Small chip to the bottom right corner of the reverse side of the grip adjacent to the serial number. Early black anodized steel scabbard showing much of its finish and some of its lacquer.. Fittings retain all four of their unmolested dome headed retaining screws. Top fitting having a shallow ding and untouched suspension ring and loop with original leather hanger and unmarked nickel spring clip. Straight untouched 1934 piece with attributed serial number.
