This Flieger tunic remains untouched having a Netherlands Tailors label at the collar. Tunic of fine blue wool having a blue-gray rayon lining and typical pinstriped sleeve linings. Twisted silver-cord collar piping surrounds the hand-embroidered silver bullion Flieger-Oberleutnant gold wool collar tabs. Silver-brocade sew-in Oberlt. boards w/16mm pebbled shoulder buttons. Beautiful hand-embroidered bullion, early downtail breast eagle. One pair of loops on the right chest for either a German Cross or Spanish Cross and 3 pairs of loops on the left chest above a beautiful silver hand-embroidered Pilots Badge on blue wool. This flight worn tunic has two wear spots on this tunic: one 25mm on the back shoulder area & one on the left side hip area above the slash pocket with no other issues. To the right sleeve-cuff is an untouched silver-wire embroidered on blue wool ‘Geschwader General Wever’ cuff title. The Officers side cap is of matching, officer quality blue wool with silver cord piping and cotton embroidered insignia. This cap is unmarked and mates well with the tunic showing a bit more wear from sustained use. A quality, occupied-country tailored Officers Flieger Tunic in Excellent condition from a famous bomber unit.
