BUY / RESERVE THIS ITEMDescription: An early-war issue Heer Visor Cap for an EM/NCO of mountain troops (Gebirgsjäger). Ribbed feldgrün wool crown and dark green wool cap band both surmounted with poison green wool piping (waffenfarbe) for Gebirgsjäger personnel; black leather chinstrap retained by plain black-enameled steel buttons; aluminum Army Cap eagle, cockade & edelweiss set are original to cap; interior is excellent with the only definite wear coming from the missing eisenglas, of which a view remnants remain. Standard issue-type rust colored-cotton lining stamped size ‘55” and an unmarked beige-leather sweatband that remains tightly stitched within. Black vulkan-fiber visor with a dark rust colored underside; Excellent condition overall
