BUY / RESERVE THIS ITEMDescription: An early to mid period NSKK Dagger by “Carl Tillmanns & Sohne”; the obverse blade ricasso bearing the etching of their unique logo reflecting this maker. Blade remains in high polish condition showing sharp Motto and barely negligible runner marks. Motto is well defined with matt-gray etching. Excellent Nickel-silver crossguards with the lower one Gau marked ‘s’. Medium brown wood grip fits snuggly to both top and bottom fittings appearing as disturbed; No cracks or chipping to the grip with practically no age bruising. Correct nickel national eagle and enameled SA button are excellent and nicely fitted to grip. Early black painted steel scabbard about 85% of its original black lacquer with some edge wear and diagonal scratches to both sides; Nickel silver scabbard fittings retain all four of their unmolested retaining screws. An very uncommon maker (McSarr rarity 8 out of 10) with most of the wear to the scabbard.
