Constructed of gilded and silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse presenting with a German national eagle clutching clutching a HJ diamond insignia, on white enameled background set within a brown enameled ring and circumscribed by a gilt inscription, the reverse with three visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with a horizontal pinback, Correctly unmarked, measuring 32.06 mm (w) x 33.77 mm (h), weighing 14.5 grams, a scare badge in extremely fine condition. Badge is in extremely fine condition accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a card stock frame with a faux black leather exterior liner, no markings to outer lid, the interior with a white ribbed rayon lid liner with a slotted black velvet medal bed. The box measures approximately 65 mm (w) x 66 mm (l) x 20mm (h) and is unique to this type badge which, except for one scrape to lid, remains mint.
