WWI/WWII BRITISH RED CROSS MEDAL; “British Red Cross Society London – Royal Kensington” Medal; Red enameled pendant & medal, both marked to ‘J.R.Gaunt, London’ ; Instituted 1911, these medals were awarded to officers and members of any Branches of the British Red Cross or its voluntary aid detachments (including Overseas Branches) while a connection with the Branch was maintained. These medals were worn on the left chest/lapel of either uniform or civilian dress.
