Luftwaffe Tropical ‘DAK’ Belt Buckle, 1942

Description 1940 pattern, stamped steel buckle, having a sand-colored finish. The reverse of the buckle is a mirror image of the obverse. The buckle has a natural tan leather tab machine stitched around the prong bar. The leather tab is well marked with the impressed manufacturer’s name & location: ‘F.W. Assmann & Sohne-Ludenscheid’ & date ‘1942’ within an oval cartouche; buckle appears as unused with only handling age. Near mint.
