Description: This scarce dagger with distributor marked blade is in nice condition throughout, with textbook Alcoso mounts that all match in their detail & deep dark patina. The grip is a fine example with a dark pumpkin orange appearance. The Alsoca Cross guard is the 1937-40 period type. The blade is excellent from the same period (1938-40) as indicated by the arched-Alsco logo; its obverse revealing one of the better known distributors. The scabbard retains both side screws and has a perfect silvering and crisp detailing throughout the pebbling and the bands, matching in patina with the crossguard, ferrule band and pommel. The original leather washer is in place; comes with its Officers portepee.
