Description: This aluminum-mounted example is in top-notch condition throughout. The aluminum pommel has no nicks in the edges and only a few extremely minor signs of carrying time. The gilt to the sun wheel swastikas is absolutely 100%. The cross guard has the same great sun wheels with full gild. The three sectioned cross guard arms that flow downward are also in crisp condition. The grip is a wood base covered with rich Moroccan leather. The leather remains perfect throughout, having a pleasing prominent grain. The grip is tightly wrapped with dual nickel wire with a dark patina.
The blade is the best you will see having a nickel-plated finish remaining in full mint condition with its needlelike tip. This blade is an unmarked example. The blue leather blade washer is in place. The straight scabbard is also a beauty. The Moroccan leather is pristine with full grain. The aluminum mounts, retained by headless screws remain in perfect condition showing little if any surface issues. There is a matching aluminum chain connected to the upper and center mounts. The chain has six upper ringlets and there are nine ringlets on the lower. The two chains are connected to an aluminum snap clip which is marked, “OLC” and “Ges. Gesch” and has a leather belt hanger with matching aluminum D-ring.
