Description: WWII Japanese Army Officers Shin Gunto Sword, Desirable Manchurian Railway KOA Isshin Mantetsu Steel Blade; The tang is signed with typical Mantetsu railway signature and date “Koa Isshin Mantetsu saku” (“Asia Development [in] One Spirit — Made of Manchurian Steel”), while the opposite side is dated “Shōwa Kano-tomi Haru”; The spine of the sword beneath the collar is serial numbered; blade is 27 inches with straight temper line and almost full polish. Scabbard retains nearly all of its brown lacquer paint. Wrap & Menuki remain tight with only very minor soiling.
