Price: Sold

Description:   WW2 Kriegsmarine “DIENSTGLAS 7X50 Binoculars, s/n 37102; ‘blc” code for Carl Zeiss/Jena ca. 1944.  This pair has late Smooth vs. ribbed focusing rings and comes with their original “BenutzerKapp” that protects the optics from rain. This Kapp is made of bakelite, well marked and attached by its original rubber thong. Bernutzer Kapps are highly sought after.  Unlike most wartime binoculars these have two “spanner-screw off cap” chambers, one in each side,  that hold desiccant gel to keep moisture from clouding the insides of the lens surface. Without the rangefinder (Strichplatte), which is correct for this Kriegsmarine type of binoculars. Wehrmacht 7 X 50s are far rarer than the more common 10x50s. Perfect Optics with Smooth operating focusing-rings; sharp & clear as when they were made +80 years ago.
