WWII Japanese Army Model 97 Hand Grenade

1937 pattern fragmentation grenade used by Japanese troops until the end of the war. 10cm high and a 5cm diameter with a cylindrical cast iron body, painted black, with ten columns of five serrations along its sides. A 40mm diameter plate, with a ten-pointed “sunburst” design impressed into its surface that screws into the top of the grenade. A brass fuse assembly, with its crimped brass cap and safety pin with its short cord still attached to it. Totally INERT collector item.
