Fine feldgrau wool upper having gold cellon-braided piping; dark green cap surmounted by lighter-green wool piping top & bottom; original, gold cellon-braided chincord retained by gilt cap buttons; gold matching gold cellon embroidered officers eagle & matching cockard. Thin gold rayon lined; Full wide tan, perforated leather sweatband w/remnants of orange spongy insert at brow. Size 57+; This beautiful cap appears as unworn and represents Erel’s most ‘reasonably priced’ wartime cap with actually only a few cuts from their top of the line models like their Green silk lining, Hinged sweatband w/double-Erel embossing and Vented cockade.
