Description: A pre-war issue Heer Visor Cap for an Infantry NCO. Fine feldgrau ribbed-wool crown and dark green wool cap band both surmounted with white wool piping (waffenfarbe) for Infantry personnel; black leather chinstrap retained by plain black-enameled steel buttons; aluminum Army Cap eagle & cockard set original to cap; typical issued copper colored-rayon lining showing stitching evidence of previous eisenglas & wide dark brown-leather sweatband with underside date stamped 1937/38; black vulkan-fiber visor with copper brown underside; no mothing, and an excellent Infantry NCO cap showing very minimal wear for its age.
