Description:. Choice Waffen-SS NCO visored cap with feldgrun wool body, black wool cap band and white wool piping throughout. Black vulcan fiber visor showing fine crazing and spidering with typical checkered rust colored underside (right corner with subtle thumb-print wear. SS style black leather chinstrap with center hinge secured with two domed black enamel side buttons. Matching rare aluminum (cupal) eagle & totenkopf insignia tightly affixed with no prongs protruding through the lining. Lining fabric is a shiny grey-colored rayon marked only with the size 56 ½ in black. Beige leather sweatband is complete and remains tight having period German Newsprint tucked under it to decrease size a bit. No apparent insect issues with only the slightest age/handling wear. A real one-looker!
