Description: Private purchase, dark navy blue wool construction visor cap, featuring a one-piece circular crown, piped in golden-yellow cotton cording and a black velvet cap band piped in dark navy blue cording matching the crown. Black vulkan-fiber visor. Gold aluminum political eagle and matching gold Postal cockade having typical center national colors. Gold cellon leaders chincord retained by gold Postal side buttons (see pics). The interior crown of the cap is dark orange-colored oilcloth with full makers celluloid eisenglass; balance of lining is a rust-colored cotton. Full russet-leather sweatband. Size 57 showing very little if any actual wear. Near mint and the first of this high Civil Rank we’ve ever seen.
