Rare, early 1942 Low-pressure SAINT-CLAIR (SC) liner with its McCORD M-1 helmet: (1) SC Liner w/slight recessed edge that corresponded the McCord fixed bail; Smooth semi-gloss OD Green painted exterior & rough OD green interior marked w/large molded letters ‘SC’ as well as yellow stenciled ‘SC” up inside Riddle-style Silver-rayon suspension w/snap-in neck band/nape strap & partial-leather sweatband having United-Carr snaps throughout; 9 type-I rectangular riveted washers & early type-I fixed, narrow leather chinstrap w/small, square bright steel buckle; inside liner has owners #D8858. (2) McCord M1 helmet, lot #367C w/front seam & stainless steel rim; type-I square, stainless steel fixed bales; OD shade #3 woven chin strap having early 1941-42 type brass buckle w/raised bar on long side and sharp milled-brass hook on short side; lot number stamped inside front of pot; near mint.
