WW2 ARMY AIR CORP FLYER’S SILK BLOOD-CHIT; this particular chit comes from the estate of 1Lt J.T. Prochaska, B-29 Pilot; 20th AAF, 58th Bomb Wing, 444th Bomb Group. This rare blood chit is of the type supplied to the AAF from the British that they had made-in-India late 1942-1943; Silk obverse and cotton-linen reverse; the 5-Languages are: Burmese, Sgaw Karen, Chinese, W. Shan & S. Shan/N. Thai’. Known as the ‘Reverse-Lend-Lease’ type (DEB-10); many of the 5,000 chits made of this type had no serial number. This blood chit has been folded in the pocket of a uniform since 1946.
