WW1 era Austro-Hungarian Empire Officer’s Hussar (Light Cavalry) tunic and shako for the 1st Hussars ‘Emperor’ (Husaren-Regiment „Kaiser“ Nr. 1); Circa 1914 private purchase Dark blue colored Attila with appropriate gold-wire chest braid with rosettes and closed with five gilt officer-style toggles. Matching 1st Regiment Officers Shako having front plate eagle for “k.u.k. Hussar Regiment No. 1”; black leather visor, officers brocade rank band over dark blue wool cap band. Officer’s double Silver wire cording having double rosette on right side with reprehensive eagle monogram “FJI” of (Franz Joseph I) -HGM. Removable horsehair Parade plume with gilt rosette having ‘FJI’ monogram; Lining of red silk with leather sweatband and brass chinstrap buckles with leather crown strap marked for size 55; tunic is good –very good showing some age with scattered nips at skirt bottom front & back and front left chest, display very well in its dark color with gold braiding; Officers Shako is excellent with no appreciable damage at all, complete and original.
