BUY / RESERVE THIS ITEMDescription: Heer Grossdeutschland Artillery Oberleutnant white summer dress tunic & trousers of the highest quality. This high-quality, Paris tailored early style tunic has an eight button front, made of summer weight fine white-wool and features matching slip-on shoulder boards for the rank of Oberleutnant. They have gold GD officer’s cyphers and red waffenfarbe indicating attachment to an artillery unit within the GD division. Sewn to the third button hole is the ribbon for the Iron Cross 2nd Class. On the left breast pocket are sewn three loops for the attachment of the officer’s decorations. Above the right pleated breast pocket is attached a nicely frosted metal officer’s breast eagle. On the lower French cuff right sleeve is a Grossdeutschland removable Snap-on cufftitle. The white silk lined interior is devoid of any labels. However, the matching white wool trousers display a single “PARIS” on each of the two side cinch belt buckles. This likely indicates this rare uniform was custom made in Paris during the occupation. Trousers are completely silk lined. A few very minor pin-hole bites at rear waist & one wear spot at left shoulder board. The uniform is very slightly worn, and is in overall excellent plus condition.
