Named WWII 8th AIR FORCE BRITISH-MADE UNIFORM; British-made (E. Griffith & Son-Chorley) officer’s ike jacket and regulation wool trousers (pinks) from the estate of 1Lt. Sam Johnston, 364th Squadron, 305th Bomb Group, 8th Army Air Force. Insignia shown is all original to uniform: hand embroidered bullion-wire 1st Lt shoulder rank bars, early wool 8th AAF patch, British-made, sterling US Pilot wing on blue wool background & prop/wing collar devices; missing the ‘US’ collar devices. Comes with a copy of a crew photo showing 1Lt. Johnston as 3rd from left standing. The original photo kept by family members had crew names, 364th/305th/8th AF & “B-17 #42-29633” on back.
