BUY / RESERVE THIS ITEMDescription: An early first period (1933-35) SA Dagger by “SMF of Solingen”; the obverse blade ricasso bearing the etching of their unique Kings logo reflecting this maker. Blade remains in superb condition showing its high polish with nearly no runner marks. Motto is well defined with all its matt-gray etched coloring. Excellent Nickel-silver crossguards with the lower one gau marked ‘Ho’ (to the far right of the crossguard) for Hochland’. Dark brown wood grip fits snuggly to both top and bottom fittings; No cracks or chipping to the grip with only slight bruising from age handling. Correct nickel national eagle & enameled SA button are excellent and nicely fitted to grip. Early brown anodized steel scabbard shows nearly all its original dark finish; Nickel silver scabbard fittings retain all four of their unmolested retaining screws. Blades mates tightly with scabbard the way it should..
