BUY / RESERVE THIS ITEMDescription: This dagger is about as close to mint as they come. The pommel and cross guard are polished aluminum and retain all of their gray burnishing. The pommel features outstanding oak leafing that surrounds the two swastikas that retain most of their gilt. The cross guard features the eagle flying to the viewer’s left being still in a new-like condition with perfect feathering. The upper cross guard arms have deeply engraved style oak leaves and acorns. The reverse panel has excellent deep pebbling; The ferrule nicely matches the mounts and is covered by the silvered officers knot. The grip is a very attractive ivory color and remains without flaws. The grip is tightly wrapped with aluminum gold wire.
The bright blade is a real beauty and totally mint retaining 100% of its crossgraining. The reverse ricasso is unmarked. The leather washer remains in-situ.The scabbard is pristine, being brightly nickel-plated and matches the other fittings perfectly. The carrying bands are matching nickel-plated having fine detail to the overlapping oak leaves. The throat is retained by one rear screw that remains unmolested. Comes with its (apparent from wear) original silver portepee. An unmarked hard to upgrade beauty of real quality!
