Description: Luftwaffe Flight Helmet Rig, 3 Pieces
(1) Luftwaffe LKpN101 Summer Flying Helmet (Netzkopfhaube LKp N 101); The Mesh crown (usually the weak point in these helmets) is excellent with no issues; Helmet is complete with all Avionics: bakelite covered larynx (Mi 4c) microphones (marked “Ln. 26779-3”), plus the avionics cord & black bakelite plug being marked “BLKvFl27560”. A woven nomenclature tag is at the rear of the helmet.
(2) Luftwaffe Flyers Splinter Protection Goggles with Ultrasin Glass Lenses (Flieger-Splitterschutzbrille mit Ultrasin-Gläsern- Fl 30550)’. 2nd type that are foldable, tinted lenses, with manufacturer markings. Complete with original headband in choice condition. Scarce goggles in this condition.
(3) Luftwaffe fighter pilot’s oxygen mask. A rare mask with its original elastic band still attached. It connects at two points exclusively on the ‘LKpN101’ (Mesh-type) Summer Flying Helmet; The mask retains its original metal spring clip on the end of the hose which is very often missing. Rubber hose & mask are excellent marked ‘bwz’ (Auer) and ‘6701-1’. This mask is rare and exceedingly hard to come by in this condition.
