BUY / RESERVE THIS ITEMDescription: Classic Private purchase Heer Gebirgsjäger Bergmütze (Mountain Cap), which has the correct short brim and higher crown typical of Mountain Trooper caps. The cap is constructed of Heer Feldgrau (Field Gray) wool with two composition green buttons to the front. The peak of the cap has a very nicely machine-applied, T-folded bevo-woven eagle & cockade insignia at the front. Original to cap hand-sewn metal Edelweiss on the left flap. Single grommet-vent to each side of cap; The interior of the cap has a gray ribbed-cotton lining that is ink stamped with the maker’s name, city, 1943 date and size 58-½. Additionally there is a hand-applied soldiers name tag. A full leather sweatband compliments this fine private purchase, attributed Bergmütze.
