BUY / RESERVE THIS ITEMDescription: German WWII Kriegsmarine Navy M38 Overseas cap (Schiffchen), as worn by Officers having gold wire piping and insignia.The cap is constructed of a navy blue ribbed tricot exterior, and features fine hand embroidered bullion eagle and tri-color cockade emblems sewn to the front. It has gold bullion piping around the circumference, indicating officer issue. The interior is navy blue rayon, and is in excellent condition. There are no markings, so this was most likely a bespoke cap for the officer. Attached to the left side of the cap is a wonderful 32. Minensuchflottille (32nd Minesweeper Flotilla) badge, which features an image of Mickey Mouse wearing boxing gloves, and punching a mine like a punching bag. One of the finest KM Officers caps we’ve had in years. One with unit badges are extremely rare, and this is the first time we have seen this particular badge.
