One of the rarest types of Waffen-SS headgear, this mint tropical WSS Field cap is a superb example retaining its factory-applied tropical bevo-woven Cap Eagle & Totenkopf; correctly linen lined and marked with size & specific makers stamp for these caps; double zinc vent eyelets on each side and center seam down crown. This rare cap sets off the remainder of the set consisting of both 2nd pattern WSS Tropical tunic & matching-type trousers. Both tunic & trousers are of a specific design; tunic retains its factory machined, bevo-woven tropical sleeve eagle; below eagle, correctly hand-applied is a tropical WSS rank chevron. Trousers retain all their correct buttons and design-specific belt hooks. Both tunic & trousers are correctly size stamped in linings. A great complete set topped off by the super rare tropical field cap of which, to our knowledge is only specimen on today’s market.
