8th AAF Theater-made Uniform British-Tailored Officers Ike-style Uniform Attributed on Brit tailors tag: ‘Lt J. Bodnaruk, US Army Sept 1944’; 2nd Lieutenant Bodnaruk arrived at his squadron in August 1944 and had this uniform tailored in September by D.W.Curtis Ltd. in London; Uniform retains all its original theater-made insignia to include hand-embroidered Silver bullion on blue wool Bombardier Wing, Gold silk on blue wool 8th Air Force shoulder patch & Silver bullion 1Lt rank bars; collar retains its original matching US & Winged-Prop Collar devices with Pres Unit Citation ribbon on right chest. This was likely one of his daily uniforms constructed without his personal ribbons. Research on this officer and his crew of B-17G #8053 (see crew pic) are readily available on the internet.
